Itinerary
Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel or the airport, followed by a scenic drive to the forest located west of Addis Ababa. Menagesha Suba was originally placed under protection during the reign of Emperor Zera Yacob and today covers approximately 2,500 hectares.
The forest is home to impressive indigenous tree species such as Juniperus and Erica arborea, creating a peaceful and refreshing environment ideal for nature walks and exploration.
Menagesha Suba is also known for its biodiversity and wildlife. Visitors may spot several bird species as well as mammals such as the endemic Menelik’s Bushbuck, a rare antelope found only in Ethiopia.
After a guided walk and time to enjoy the natural surroundings, you will have lunch in the area before returning to Addis Ababa in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location.
