As the dedicated hiking and trekking division of Ras Dejen Ethiopia Trekking, we are dedicated to providing authentic travel experiences, professional service, and unforgettable hiking journeys to some of Ethiopia’s most remarkable destinations, including the Simien Mountains, Bale Mountains, Lalibela, Danakil Depression, Gheralta Mountains, the Omo Valley, and beyond.
Founder
Founded and managed by Samuel Kassaw, HikeEthiopia benefits from more than 17 years of experience organizing tours and trekking expeditions across the country. Samuel, known to many travelers as Sammy, was born and raised near Gondar, close to the spectacular Simien Mountains National Park, where he still lives today. His deep local knowledge, passion for Ethiopian culture and nature, and commitment to responsible tourism help ensure that every trip is carefully planned and personally guided with attention to detail.
